Each detail, considered. Each mood, studied.
Design is more than what we see—it is what we feel, the textures we touch, and the spaces we inhabit. At BLANC NARÍE, curation is not just about selecting beautiful objects; it is about understanding how materials, craftsmanship, and form interact to create an intentional home.
This is why we are introducing THE STUDY.
A bi-monthly exploration of mood, material, and design, THE STUDY goes beyond fleeting trends to examine the deeper elements that shape a space. Each edition is an opportunity to pause, observe, and refine—a chance to study the intersection of history, artistry, and modern living.
What to Expect from Each Study
Each edition of THE STUDY follows a structured approach, allowing us to explore a concept through both research and curation. These Studies are not just about what looks good, but about understanding why certain elements resonate—how they have been used in design movements, and how they shape our perception of space today.
Every Study will unfold in five key areas:
1 | The Concept (Why This Study?)
Each edition begins with a theme—whether it is a particular mood, a sensory experience, or a design principle. Here, we examine why this theme matters, how it connects to design history, and how it influences modern interiors.
2 | The Historical & Theoretical Influence (What Are We Studying?)
Each Study will reference historical movements, architectural philosophies, and artistic influences that align with the theme. We will look at how past designers, architects, and craftsmen have interpreted similar ideas—without replicating them, but rather learning from them.
3 | The Materials & Textures (How Do We Apply This Study?)
Materials define a space—they add character, depth, and emotion. Every Study will examine how certain materials and textures reinforce the theme, whether through natural fibers, sculptural forms, or handcrafted finishes.
4 | The Curated Objects (What Have We Discovered?)
Curation is where theory meets reality. Each Study will feature a selection of objects that embody the theme—pieces that feel collected rather than simply placed.
5 | Closing Reflection (What Have We Learned?)
Every Study will conclude with a reflection on what this exploration has revealed—insights into design, materiality, and the art of intentional living.
Looking Ahead: The First Study
Our first edition of THE STUDY will explore Imperfect Tranquility—a balance of modern simplicity, rich textures, and understated warmth. This Study will examine how curated restraint can create a home that feels both effortless and deeply personal.
Stay with us as we begin this journey—each detail, considered. Each mood, studied.
